Yet another year has breezed by and it’s almost the happiest time of the year; Christmas! 2016 has been a year filled with big news, events and exciting new projects. Transtech has skyrocketed and further cemented its future in the industry.
Announced in February of this year, Transtech now falls under the Teletrac Navman umbrella. What did this mean for you? Well, Transtech is now able to stretch its Research & Development power further to bring even bigger and better solutions to you and the ever-growing transport & logistics industry.
2016 saw the focus on building relationships continue with familiar and new faces and will continue to do so into 2017. The transport industry is forward moving, and Transtech prides itself of being at the helm. All this continues Transtech’s strong focus on customer service and innovation, bringing a truly global perspective to our solutions.
The team has clocked tens of thousands of frequent flyer miles to visit customers, attend events and conferences along with meeting the new team within Teletrac Navman across the globe. With this new partnership, events have become an even bigger emphasis with the merge of the two brands. Exhibiting alongside each other at many events across the country, from the LBRCA in Bathurst to CICA in Cairns and everything in between, it has been a successful year in the market for both presences.
September saw the Am I Compliant forum kick-off with a bang in Brisbane, becoming the first event within Queensland. A huge turnout came to the Member’s Dining Room of the Gabba to hear Gavin Hill (General Manager Strategic Development, TCA), Mark Mitchell (Director of Compliance & Heavy Vehicle Reform, TMR) and Amanda Capper (Project Manager for EWDs, NHVR) speak. The team at Transtech would like to take the opportunity again, to thank each and every one who came to contribute throughout the day. Keep your eye out, there are plenty more to come.
Leading through innovation has been constant phrase murmured around the office. Sticking to this theme, Transtech responded to a call from government and was selected from many competing ideas for TCA and VicRoads ‘Cooperative Intelligent Transport System’ (C-ITS). Transtech was then selected as one of two vendors, allowing the team to build a solution that solves real-world transport issues. Launched at the 2016 Melbourne ITS, Transtech’s future SmartNav solution will take on vehicle, permit, job and driver information to route on correct roads.
Beyond SmartNav, a number of product releases saw Transtech’s solutions brought forward in usability and functionality. Why? To bring you the latest features in the easiest way.
Fatigue management is complex. Sentinel was redesigned to bring the features transport operators and drivers have grown to love in an exciting way, along with new functions! It is a fresh and revitalised take on a modern EWD.
The latest iteration of tracking was released to bring the features required into a consolidated yet familiar solution. This included more vehicle information, event details, vehicle lookup and more.
A brand new look for NextGen to accommodate for the future and for the modern transport industry. Technology advancements meant that the look and feel within NextGen required an update.
2016 shaped Transtech for the future and has moulded its solutions. Transtech would like to thank each one of its clients, partners and suppliers for another successful year. The team look forward to continuing our strong relationship formed into 2017.
For the holiday period, Transtech’s last operating day of 2016 is the 23rd of December. Regular business hours will then commence from the 9th of January 2017.
Transtech wishes you a Safe & Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
