2015 has been a hugely successful year for Transtech. A jam-packed year for all staff members and clients, 2015 was filled with exciting new applications, innovative projects and inspiring events, trade shows & conferences.
The year saw a huge expansion into Western Australia, along with full-time staff in New South Wales to provide a dedicated service to Transtech’s NSW customers. Transtech has continued its influential work throughout 2015 with its partners Navman Wireless, road managers including VicRoads, NSW RMS, QLD TMR, Main Roads WA and government bodies including the NHVR and TCA.
Anthony Laras, Transtech’s National Service Delivery Manager and the team of Business Development Managers have clocked over 35,000 kilometres, travelling to see customers and attend the many trade shows and conferences from the Brisbane Truck Show to Transtech’s ‘Am I Compliant’ forums. Both Anthony and Paul Weiss attended most of the industry events Transtech has been involved with in 2015, building on the relationship with all the familiar faces whilst meeting new people.
Transtech’s ‘Am I Compliant’ initiative has continued stronger than ever in 2015 with the launch of a whole new interactive website. This continued with a number of Transtech’s Am I Compliant forums, starting from Mildura in April, before hitting the road for NSW for Newcastle in July and Wollongong in September. The Am I Compliant Wollongong forum saw a different approach, with a number of guests speaking alongside Transtech, including Gavin Hill (TCA), Michael Wills (RMS), Ian Pendered (Pentrans Consulting) and Tim Wedlock (AEI Commercial Insurance Brokers). A range of topics were discussed including IAP, access in NSW, EWDs, reasonable steps defence and mitigating risk. This was hugely successful with a great crowd and excellent feedback.
2015 has also been a big year for Transtech’s range of products and solutions. June saw the latest iteration of Sentinel released alongside MyEWD, a website dedicated to simplifying the EWD process. All of Transtech’s customers are now fully migrated on to the new platform, moving away from standalone product and into modern and future-proof architecture that has fully integrated into NextGen.
A big step forward for Transtech was its full range of In-Vehicle Units (IVUs) becoming Type-Approved by Transport Certification Australia (TCA). This has ensured Transtech’s customers continue to obtain strong assurance in the use of its telematics, peace of mind for its services and a platform for the future, placing them perfectly to take up EWDs.
Continuing on the theme of innovation, Transtech was selected by TCA and VicRoads as one of the vendors to demonstrate a Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS) solution through the Industry Framework for Road Freight ITS and Associated Technologies, which is set to be deployed over the next 12 months. This will be an exciting project that will lead into 2016.
A great deal of new and exciting relationships were formed throughout the year. Transtech would like to take the time to thank its clients, partners and suppliers for a wonderful year. The team at Transtech has enjoyed sharing insights and building stronger relationships.
The holiday season has come around fast. Transtech would like to wish you a Safe & Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
