eBox™ is the intelligent, in-vehicle GPS tracking device for mobile asset management.
It houses GPS, GSM, and a high-powered CPU, within a compact, easily concealable unit. Ideal for mounting on vehicles, the device has been designed to endure the demanding mobile environments, where performance and reliability are essential.
eBox provides transport managers with real time information on vehicle location and speed, allowing for quick and easy allocation of new jobs to the nearest vehicles, enhanced customer service and increased transparency within fleet operations.
For many organisations however, simply knowing where vehicles are located is not enough. They want to know what the status of the vehicle is, what it is doing and what is happening. With eBox, organisations have this information at their fingertips. eBox can be interfaced to numerous peripheral devices such as sensors or controls, allowing for the transmission of real time vehicle status conditions (ignition on/off, door open close, PTO engage). Transport managers will be empowered with this new found vehicle and activity intelligence.
eBox is Australian-manufactured to meet the data capture requirements of Transtech's vehicle tracking software. This design is unique to Transtech and is the most powerful device in its class. Our tracking software uses second-by-second real-time feeds from our high quality GPS antenna, manufactured by world-renowned GPS specialist Garmin. We designed our system to record accurately the position of a vehicle relative to the centre line of the road and its direction and speed of travel. Together with our map data supplied by PSMA, Australia's authoritative source of vector maps for both city and country, this enables the eBox to act as an electronic odometer against which transport invoices based on kilometres travelled can be checked. It also gives the eBox black box data capability in the case of an accident. Accident investigators are able to retrieve second-by-second data leading up to the accident.
