Navman Wireless Australia has bought Transtech Driven and gained IAP approval from TCA.
Navman Wireless has acquired rival fleet management solution provider Transtech Driven, part of the Transtech group of businesses, subsuming the Melbourne-based company into a business unit of its local arm.
The purchase focuses onthe Transtech Driven Partnership, a joint venture by Creative System Professionals and Embaque Investments, and currently provides telematics and asset tracking solutions approved by the Transport Certification Australia (TCA).
According to Navman Wireless Australia, the two companies have been working in tandem to tackle driver fatigue issues in the transport industry since 2012, with Navman utilising the Transtech Sentinel system in its GPS fleet management solution.
“As workplace health and safety across the transport industry becomes increasingly regulated, vehicle safety is critical in maintaining on-road duty of care for businesses,” Navman Wireless Asia Pacific vice president & managing director Ian Daniel says.
