Transtech’s Am I Compliant forum a success in Wollongong

On the 16th of September, Transtech presented its fifth Am I Compliant forum this time in Wollongong, which proved to be a sensational day.

Transtech’s Mass Manager app gets an upgrade

The Mass Manager application on the iFace, Transtech’s 7” in-vehicle device, sees a significant boost with the addition of a historical view. This information can then be presented to an enforcement officer when requested. Back-office staff will continue to view the declarations through NextGen in real-time.

Transtech selected as vendor for C-ITS

Transport Certification Australia (TCA) and VicRoads have named Transtech as one of the shortlisted vendors to demonstrate an innovative Cooperative Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS) solution through the Industry Framework for Road Freight ITS and Associated Technologies, which is set to be deployed over the next 12 months.

Higher Mass Limits in New South Wales

New South Wales Minister for Roads and Freight, the Hon. Duncan Gay and NHVR Chief Executive Sal Petroccitto made an exciting announcement at the recent Livestock & Bulk Carriers Association (LBCA) Conference in Jindabyne. In NSW, the process for accessing Higher Mass Limits (HML) programs will become a considerably simpler and more efficient process for Transport Operators.

NHVR paves the way for Electronic Documents

Easydocs is an application designed to minimise the paperwork and administrative burden operators and drivers face in day-to-day work. Operators can continue to ensure that everyone in the supply chain is fulfilling their duty to the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) instead of worrying about the paperwork and documents on-board.

Transtech is now approved to provide On Board Mass services nationally.

Transtech has now been granted approval by the TCA to provide real-time Interim OBM solutions to Victoria (VicRoads) and New South Wales (Roads and Maritime Services).

Aberdeen’s new Fitzgerald Bridge on the New England Highway now open

After 18 months of construction, the new Fitzgerald Bridge on the New England Highway in Aberdeen is now open. The new bridge caters for Higher Mass Limits (HML), improving productivity by enabling more efficient and a more direct route through NSW.

Transtech’s continued commitment to the On Board Mass program in Queensland

Transtech is now approved to offer immediate support and enablement for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)’s version 2 of the QLD Interim On Board Mass (OBM) program.
The program provides operators with the opportunity to increase payload when utilising specific vehicle configurations. The expansion of the road network on routes such as the Port of Brisbane to Toowoomba, permits vehicles to carry increased mass in exchange for being enrolled in the program.

Following the formal announcement last week, Transtech is pleased to confirm, in conjunction with Lund University in Sweden and Transport Certification Australia (TCA), it is delivering the Operational Pilot of the Intelligent Access Program (IAP) in Sweden, further establishing itself as an international leader in transport solutions.

Hunter River Bridge on the New England Highway gets Higher Mass Limit access

The New England Hwy in NSW has been upgraded over the Hunter River at Aberdeen (near Scone, NSW) with a new bridge that allows for Higher Mass Limits (HML) and dual lanes. Scheduled for completion in April 2014, the new bridge will allow transport operators to use previously restricted vehicle combinations, such as B-Doubles, at HML between Sydney and Brisbane for the first time.

Transtech mourns the loss of CEO Shaun Owen

Transtech is saddened to announce the loss of its founder and CEO Shaun Owen. Shaun, 51, was killed when his Cirrus SR22 aircraft struck trees on the approach to a private airstrip at Boxwood, north of Benalla, after returning from Moorabbin Airport on the evening of June 27. Shaun died at the scene shortly after 6pm (AEST).
