Transtech, Australia’s leading transport compliance and mobile solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Andrew Rossington as its new CEO.
Rossington has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer since 2010, in which he has played a key role in strategic technical roadmaps for the company.
“I assure our valued customers and partners that I will continue the legacy left by [former CEO] Shaun Owen,” says Rossington. “Transtech will continue to provide the transport industry with cutting-edge technology, innovative solutions and continue to maintain close relationships with regulators.”
Rossington’s experience in the IT industry dates back to 1987, having held key positions at businesses such as Dimension Data and Toll Holdings.
In 2001, he moved into the transport and logistics sector by being appointed Solutions Development Manager at Toll Logistics. In this role, he was responsible for the delivery of key business systems and service platforms.
Before joining the Transtech team, Rossington owned and operated solutions architecture and web services company InterDev, founded in 2003. Here, he supplied mobile solutions and application development for some of the country’s largest transport and logistics operators.
Rossington holds a Bachelor of Business IT from Swinburne University.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Transtech and look forward to building on the well-established foundations in place.”
In line with the appointment, Jenny Owen, a current Transtech director, will take a more active role in the company’s daily operations as the new Managing Director.
